Two students sat listening to the words of Jesus. One stood up and shouted, “I’m in! I want to do that!” The other shrank back in his comfortable chair. Which one are you?

What is it?
SOBA is a path of biblical discipleship that guides students inductively through God’s redemptive story, empowering them to discover God and pursue radical lives of faith.
“I’m leaving SOBA hungry for more. I understand myself more, I am becoming more of who God created me to be and I know God in a deeper way. The last 7 months have been the springboard that I needed.”
– Michelle from England (SOBA Student, 2011)
COURSE OVERVIEW:
SOBA is a seven-month school that seeks to bring students into a full awareness of Jesus, who they are in Him, and how they fit into God’s bigger redemptive story. We do this through in-depth Bible classes, personal study, experiential learning, discussion times, small groups, outreach, and research projects. We discover God, do what He says, and then share the good news with others through word and action. This is our generation’s commission and the greatest adventure… To be and to make disciples throughout the whole earth.
Our school is unique.
- It combines intensive Bible training with practical discipleship
- It’s totally integrated in the life of the Boise Vineyard local church
- it prepares students with general and specialized ministry skills through training twice a week in one of the four other VCOM schools.
It’s a unique experience that will equip and empower each SOBA student to pursue their calling and also effectively integrate back into their own local church upon graduation.
