Creative Arts Course Description

In this five-month course:

…Ministry leaders will:

• be trained in the basics of a variety of art forms, techniques, history, and vocabulary
• have countless opportunities to minister to and pray for artists
• form relationships with artists both inside and outside of the church

…Artists will:

• heal from past wounds caused by criticism and skepticism
• enjoy community with other artists, giving and receiving encouragement and prayer
• serve a local church congregation through prayer, worship, and ministry in the arts
• be challenged to grow in a variety of fine arts mediums, with particular attention to your
chosen fine art emphasis

It is not the goal of this school to determine whether a student is primarily an artist, or primarily a minister to artists, or a mixture of both. There is tremendous interaction between these fields, and we provide everyone with some training in both areas, leaving the application up to God. Seeds of both vocations will be abundantly sown into the life of each student.

Students will have new opportunities to grow in whatever capacities God prepares, whether the student is studying as an artist, as a minister to artists, or both. This program is customized to individual opportunities for training according to the gifts of the student and God’s leading.
